A couple of weeks ago, I landed in Niseko, Japan for the season. New snow, new routines, new headspace. I’ve brought The Liquid Collective with me because this winter is about finally giving the brand the focus and consistency it deserves.

Being both a snowboarder and a photographer has helped to shape my creative perspective in ways I never imagined could go together.

Hey there, it’s been a minute. If you were unaware, we are in New Zealand! And in lockdown. Level 4 lockdown started on Tuesday this week, and personally, I am fortunate enough that this is my first real experience of this throughout the last year and a half of COVID.

Late last year we teamed up with AMONITA SWIM - an emerging Brisbane-based swimwear company with big plans and a great range of stylish and modern swimwear.

This year, I am working on being accountable to myself and having a number of goals and targets that I am aiming to hit as 2021 progresses.

A few months ago in July, we wrote a post about the Epson International Pano Awards and how it was the first time we would be entering a few images into this prestigious panoramic landscape competition.

It’s been a while since we have written any content, apologies. Life went from zero to one hundred and back to zero really quickly over the last few months.

After looking back on photos and posts from this last year gone, and indeed, the years before that, it became absurdly apparent that I avoid posting any personal content and photos of myself.

So. I don’t even know where to begin. This blog is going to be a regular part of the JDK world, documenting and showcasing behind the scenes aspects of the work that goes in to produce some of these incredible images and give a general glimpse into the not so glamorous life of a photographer.
